Noted For: second baseman; member of the St. Louis Cardinals (1945-56, 1961-63), New York Giants (1956-57), and Milwaukee Braves (1957-60). Manager of the St. Louis Cardinals (1965-76, 1980, 1990). Managed the Cardinals to a World Series victory (1967) and NL Championship (1968). Inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame (1989).
