Full name: Robert Granville Lemon
Noted For: pitcher; member of the Cleveland Indians (1941-42 as position player, 1946-58 as pitcher). Won 20 games seven times from 1948 to 1956. Manager of the Kansas City Royals (1970-72), Chicago White Sox (1977-78), and New York Yankees (1978-82). Managed the Yankees to a World Series champsionship (1978) and an AL championship (1981). Elected to the baseball Hall of Fame (1976).
