Full name: Alexander Sebastian Campanis
Noted For: member of the Brooklyn Dodgers (1943); general manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Was fired after making allegedly racist remarks about the low numbers of black baseball managers in an interview on ABC's Nightline.
Quotation: "I truly believe they may not have some of the necessities to be, let's say a field manager or, perhaps, a general manager."
