Noted For: major-league first baseman; Los Angeles Dodgers (1969-76), Chicago Cubs (1977-84), Boston Red Sox (1984-87, 1990), and two other teams (1987-89). National League batting champion (1980) and All-Star (1981). While with the Red Sox, committed a game-ending fielding error in game 6 of the 1986 World Series, which his team then lost in game 7.
