Younger brother of actress Shirley MacLaine. Husband of actress Annette Bening (1992-). Won an Academy award for Reds (Best director, 1982). It been widely supposed that Carly Simon's song, "You're So Vain" was about Beatty, although Simon has declined to confirm this.
